Update on Trex happenings:
The County:
They love Broken Arrow --"That's a REAL NICE TRAIL".
We have permission to do the following work below.
Fireman's Trail:
Andrew has dingo'ed the Firemans Trail. A few rollers needs some machine rework, but otherwise it can use hand finishing.
The creek crossing will either get armored or get boardwalked. To be determined
The marsh crossing will get boardwalked. I have a bunch of recycled PT and will buy some stringers. We may be out on Sunday 3/17 doing this.
Trees:
Finally being planted on Weds 3/20. The County is providing a backhoe.
RFQ:
The RFQ should be going out to trail contractors hopefully by the end of the March for new trails in the North and Central Range.
More Trees:
Either Andrew or I will try to get some trees to put in by the covered bridge. A bunch of autumn olive was cleared out and some water loving trees would do really well here. I might be able to get more sycamores.
Karen and the Horse Stable:
Karen suggested we fix up the horse stable for a picnic/meeting area. Great idea! We have permission to clean it up and also to put in a sycamore or two just uphill of the lot and create a small picnic area there too. The County is going to get us picnic tables
