The 2011 Halloween snow storm caused far more damage in the form of fallen limbs and trees to our local trail systems than any storm in recent memory. VMB members stepped up in a huge volunteer effort to help clear the trails at Salisbury Walking Purchase Park, Nockamixon State Park, Trexler Nature Preserve, South Mountain Emmaus, Jordan Parkway, South Mountain Bethlehem, and others. Within two weeks, almost every section of trail at all of our local mountain biking parks have been cleared and re-opened for use.
Thank you to every VMB member that volunteered, your efforts truly made a positive impact for all outdoor recreation enthusiasts and further reinforced the positive image VMB has with park and land management officials.
