Valley Mountain Bikers is guided by a board of directors, who collectively ensure we carry out our mission and are responsible for governance and direction of the organization. We are seeking nominations for the 2023-2024 board. The nominating period is open until March 31.
Our ideal board member brings a passion for riding and outdoor recreation, is dedicated to VMB's mission, works collaboratively across teams, is bursting with positive energy, and has experience and expertise in key areas that will bolster VMB and fuel our growth, including but not limited to: non-profit governance; fundraising; membership development; volunteer engagement; legal affairs; outdoor recreation policy and management; event production; youth development; grant writing; marketing and creative services; and/or community relations.
There is currently no financial commitment to be a board member, but we expect our board of directors to: Attend six regularly scheduled board meetings; be available as needed to advise on questions, projects, and overall direction; attend and assist with key VMB events; be a vocal and visible ambassador for VMB, our mission, and initiatives.
