VMB Members, it’s time to vote to confirm the 2017 Board. We have an excellent group of passionate members that served last year and we believe their experience and passion will be huge assets for VMB continuing this year.
Our recommendations for the board are:
Jim Kerchner, who has been leading the trail work and development at Trexler Nature Preserve. He’s also working with local shops and mountain bike brands to provide discounts to members and volunteers. Jim stepped in to fill a vacant board seat last October and has done an excellent job.
Lisa Ronca has been a board member since 2016 and is co-owner of Cutters Bike shop in Bethlehem. She’s been advocate for women’s cycling in the area, and a force in bringing Little Bellas girls camps to Lake Nockamixon.
Jon Roth is a former VMB president and began serving as a board member back when 26-inch wheels were popular. He’s a member of the Nox Council and a trail building force there. He also has a huge appetite for local politics, land management, and cheesesteaks.
Eric Dunlap joined the board last year and was quickly elected chairman, based on his leadership, organization skills, and ability to keep impassioned discussions on track and focused. Eric also is director of the Steel City Enduro and devoted fan of rocky technical trails.
Stavros Gougoustamos has served on the VMB board for four years and has been brought a ton of stoke, smart ideas, and business experience to the organization. An owner of the Whitehall Diner, Stavros has also been a huge supporter of our events, including Take-a-Kid Mountain Biking, Steel City Enduro, TrexxxFest, and many trail work days.
Confirmation voting is open to all paid members through March 31. You can access the polls in Member’s Lounge in the forums at www.bikevmb.com.
