Cross season is almost upon us, you KNOW you want to race. And are probably looking for a cheap way to get into it. Well, here's your chance. Selling my first/old cross bike, don't need three. It's a little old, more than a little used, a bit of a mish-mash or parts, but still rides well. Here's some details:
1999 Redline Conquest, white. Raced '99 - '05, pit bike since '06 season
Crashed, had to replace factory fork with plain-aluminum fork
58-cm, but fit is big, more like a 60 . I'm 6'0" and it's a tad big for me. So better for 6'+, or 6-footer who is longer torsoe'd/shorter legged than me. Standover is fine but the reach is long
1x9, 42T single ring w/chain guard on outside and catcher on inside
Shimano 105 shifter/brake lever on right and "dummy" lever on left (brake only). I might have a left brake/shifter if you want to run two rings, but don't have fr. derailleur or any rings
Paul's "Neo-retro" brakes
Mini brake levers on top of bars
Mavic Reflex 32-hole clinchers on Shimano hubs. NOTE: rear could use a repack
Michellin Mud front/Jet rear. Essentially zero miles on tires, only ridden back and forth to pit
What else? It's got a handlebar, seatpost (I think Thompson) and a seat, but bring yer own pedals.
Pictures and dismount/mount hints available upon request
$300? I live in Quakertown but meeting up somewhere Bethlehem'ish shouldn't be a problem.
thanks
