Events like this remind me why I ride, and work on trails, and push for more. It's all about the community of mountain bikers, and bringing great people together, and having an awesome time on bikes, and off of them.
We'll post more info about the race later, and hopefully some pics, and less exciting info like the financial report, but now I wanted to say thank you to Rob Takacs from Fitness Central for running this event (which is a massive undertaking and he did it without a hiccup), all the sponsors (Blue Mountain, Whitehall Diner, Action Rental, Blink Optical, and all the others), everyone who volunteered their time, and all the racers who came out and by doing so supported the trails and made our riding scene better.
The sun came out, more than 160 riders (including 25 kids!) came out to rip around Trex, and we raised a boatload of money for future trail projects. These are all great things.
