I just wanted to give a shout out :cornut: to all the ladies who have helped, encouraged, and guided me through the start of my biking journey! Mike and I went to Cranx on saturday and after we rode I was so pumped that I rode at a bike park (something a year ago I never imagined myself doing)! I tried almost everything one time and was obsessed with trying to conquer this one set of 3 skinnys right in a row, but the 3rd one kicked my butt every time! I just wanted to thank all of you ladies who truly welcomed a new girl and taught me that it doesn't matter how fast I ride or what I can or can't do, all that matters is that I am out there trying. I thought that exact thought when I was getting ready to try something at Cranx and this teenage BMX kid was next to me in is hot pink skinny jeans and I was the only girl in the whole park (besides the 9year old little girl who rocked) who was riding and not sitting ready a book. It gave me the confidence to say "here I go, I can do this" and I did!
It is amazing how much mountain biking has changed my mindset! This first time Mike took me 4 years ago I cursed and had bruises everywhere and said "screw this, I would rather be running these trails than on a bike". 3 years later I tried it again and now I love it and it has given me more confidence in myself and some pretty cool chicks to ride with! Oh and a happy husband that now I totally get why he is gone for hours in the middle of the woods on his bike! lol!!
Now all I want to do is go to RAYS!
Thanks Ladies!
