Through my day job at Bicycling, I'll be leading a beginner's ride at Jacobsburg State Park next Saturday, May 4. It will be a relatively short ride, emphasizing fun and some basic instruction for beginners. If you know of anyone thinking about getting into mountain biking, this would be a great way to introduce them to the sport. They just need a mountain bike in good working order, a properly fitting helmet, and some water. We'll have VMB brochures to hand out as well. Registration is free, but limited to 20 people. And if anyone is interested, I could use some volunteer help leading and sweeping the ride.
