The Jersey Off-Road Bicycle Association and the Valley Mountain Bikers in conjunction with Marty’s Reliable Cycles and Cutters Bike Shop Announces:

The First Annual EnduroRama All Mountain Time Trial Mini-Series
• June 10, 2012 - Allamuchy, New Jersey

• July 22, 2012 - Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

The Jersey Off-Road Bicycle Association (JORBA) and Valley Mountain Bikers (VMB) proudly announce the First Annual EnduroRama All-Mountain Time Trial Series. EnduroRama will consist of two events: one held at Allamuchy State Park (Allamuchy, NJ) and the other at Walking Purchase Park (Bethlehem, PA).

These two events will each have 5 timed "special" stages connected by non-timed "transport" stages. Points will be awarded based on the rider’s time in each "special" stage. and the riders with the highest scores will be crowned the King and Queen of the Park! Each "special" stage highlights the natural terrain of each park, providing a great riding experience. The terrain will be a mix of Cross Country, Downhill, and Trail riding. These events emphasize the overall technical abilities of each participant rather than a particular riding style.

JORBA and VMB are excited about presenting an event that brings together riders from the various disciplines of mountain biking (Cross Country, Downhill, Trail Riding) in a semi-competitive event as a way to promote a sense of community. Of equal importance is the concept of an event that gathers riders of various abilities, from expert racers to friends looking to push each other, in a laid-back, fun environment. The overall vibe of the event will be similar to the weekend group rides while focusing on more technical sections of trails (typically excluded in mass start events), and riders meeting at the beginning and end of each special section. Each transport stage will allow participants to relax and ride with friends (existing and new) while getting ready for the next challenging “special” stage. All participants will complete the event at the start/finish area, have a bite to eat (included in entry fee), hang out and take part in the swag raffle. Trophies for the top three participants for overall men and women’s classes will be awarded.

All proceeds from both events will go back into supporting the trails! Also, as part of the event JORBA will be accepting donations of any non-perishable food items at the festival to benefit the local community food banks.

As educational and charitable organizations, both JORBA and VMB encourage volunteerism and responsible riding, while advocating off road cycling as a healthy, environmentally sound, and sustainable activity. Working closely with land managers, park officials, and other trail user groups, JORBA and VMB seek to protect the rights and responsibilities of cyclists as equal members of the trail user community. With over 750 members strong at chapters throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, JORBA and VMB actively work toward conservation, development, and maintenance of trails. Both JORBA and VMB are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and are affiliates of the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA).
