400th Annual Tice-Medellin Thanksgiving Morning MTB Ride

Here it is folks!! The event you've all been waiting for. The 400th (yes I said 400th) Annual Tice-Medellin Thanksgiving morning MTB ride. The longest running MTB ride in the western hemishpere!!

Come on out on Thanksgiving morning to ride South Mountain and be part of history. Ride the ride whose first participants included such notables as Miles Standish, Squanto, Pocohantas, Captain John Smith, Bernie Connelly and Jim Tice.

This is an event not to be missed!! Many members of the Super Committee in Washington have decided to take a break from negotiating to attend this once a year special event. Toomey, Baucus, Horwath, Pinkerton - they'll all be there!! If these VIPs can put aside their important work (running the country, negotiating trillion dollar laws, swilling beer till they're cross-eyed) for a couple of hours you can too!!

As always the pre ride activities are sure to amuse and delight.

* Worst crash injuries - bring pictures of your most horrific injuries from a bike crash this past year. Please note that chronic conditions do NOT qualify (sorry Squirrelly Bob your anal fissure does not count).

* Contact technophobe Bernie - figure out the most efficient way to contact Bernie. Previous winners of this contest have used stone tablets, smoke signals and homing pigeons.

* Watch Rich Chug - a perennial favorite that has participants predicting how long Rich can keep chugging beer without vomiting (or being laughed at by small children). (editors note: this event has been canceled due to liability concerns after last years disastrous "projectile vomiting" incident).

This years grand prize is an all expenses paid 2 day stay at the Knotty Pine Inn in scenic Newfoundland, PA. Firebombing and pistol whipping included at no additional charge. Retail value of the prize is valued at $1.49. Winners are responsible for any state and federal taxes.

So don't miss out on the ride event of the year. Mark your calendar. 9:00 a.m. meeting at the parking lot on top of South Mountain across from the OLD Channel 39 offices.
