100th Annual Tice-Medellin Thanksgiving Morning MTB Ride
Here it is folks!! The event you've all been waiting for. The 100th (yes I said 100th) Annual Tice-Medellin Thanksgiving morning MTB ride. The longest running MTB ride in the United States!!
Come on out on Thanksgiving morning to ride South Mountain and be part of history. Ride the ride that has included some of our most celebrated past political leaders - Roosevelt (both Teddy and Elinor), Clinton, Bush (both H.W. and Dubya), Reagan, Carter, Kennedy (he rode a tandem with Marilynn), and Horwath.
You thought the government shutdown was due to differences over Obamacare and deficit spending - NOT SO. The real beef was over who would be this years honorary ride leader. Don't miss the pre-race, three way, no holds barred cage match between Christie, Hillary and Cruz (my money is on Hillary - she's had a lot of practice kicking the snot out of Slick Willie).
The other pre-race activities include some of our old favorites:
* Watch Rich Chug - place your bets on how long Rich can continuously chug beer without vomiting (editors note: the standard, no-go, exclusion zone around Rich will be expanded and strictly enforced during the contest. We don't want any more lawsuits like we had after the disastrous projectile vomiting incident of 2010).
* Worst Crash Injuries - bring in pictures of your worse crash injury. The bloodier and gorier the better. Please no pictures of Greg showing the "red eye of Jupiter", that's what caused the projectile vomiting of 2010!
Again the grand prize is a newly "used" tomato kindly donated by Bernie. Please ignore any CDC or bio-hazard warnings on the packaging.
Mark your calendars so you don't miss this ride. We already have a definite "yes" from Crazy Rob (that means there's a very slight chance he may actually show up).
9:00 a.m. meeting at the parking lot on top of South Mountain across from the OLD Channel 39 offices. This is a social ride suitable for all abilities.
