By now I hope you've heard that there is a race taking place on Saturday August 25th at the Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation. The MTBNJ Mooch Madness Circle of Trust race begins in camp and then visits Allamuchy North's suberb single track! Loop is 13 miles long and all racers will complete 2 loops. As the Mid-Atlantic Super Series Finals roll in to Bear Creek Mountain Resort, so does the 3rd Annual Bear Creek Kid's Race and StriderCross World Championships! This fun, FREE event for the kids is one of the most highly anticipated events of the weekend, and the action is intense and inspiring with real bar-banging racing and head to head action.
Sunday Downhill
The Sunday Downhill begins at the top of a water tower near a Frisbee golf course. The course begins with a fast decent, followed by a hard left turn. The rider then faces a large ladder bridge dropping down onto rock face, a rider around is available. This is an excellent place for spectators to watch. The course then turns left again for some additional DH action. The course runs approximately 2.5 – 3 minutes.
This weekend's Mid-Atlantic Super Series Finals will feature the Bear Creek Kids Race World Championships and StriderCross.
Lehigh University Cycling Club President Tom Surgent asked me to post this and encourage VMB members to come out and race - the open class races are open to the general public.
The Mass finals will be at Bear Creek on Sunday, 9/18/11. Come on out and race, spectate, check out the kids race or listen to the Reggae sounds of Trouble City All-Stars playing on the deck.
This will be a weekly road ride out of Cutters Bike Shop led by Lisa Ronca. Pace will be a C average (14-15mi/hr) according to group. Meet at the shop and leave from there. 30 mi average length, then come back to the shop for bagels after. Rain cancels ride, if unsure of weather check our website or facebook page for updates.
