Things are looking up in the BMX World.

Several months ago a Land Owner approached me since he knows I ride. He owns a large parcel of land that was formerly a quarry. He finally noticed that a large BMX DJ Park was built on a reclusive corner of his property.

His initial reaction was that he had to bulldoze it due to liability. When he came to me, I told him the story about Catty Woods and how that turned into a winner. I made a few phone calls and eventually arranged a meeting.

Well, I just left the meeting with the four main builders and the landowner. It was verbally agreed that the builders are going to form a non-profit, secure insurance and lease the land from landowner. Furthermore, the landowner is going to physically address some drainage issues to protect the park right away.

The park builders really impressed the landowner. It all has to pass through lawyers, but it looks like a win-win situation is on hand.

When the landowner and I walked back to the car, I told him "you made those guys (the builders) so happy they won't be able to sleep tonight".

It also turns out this park is one of the top rated DJ parks in the WORLD!
