The meeting began at 7:15pm with 8 Members in attendance
- Welcome and introduction of new members – Chad from LL Bean joined us.
- Treasurer’s Report – Greg not able to be with us, will post online.
- Review of minutes/follow up on action items:
- Boy Scout Troop project – Salisbury Twsp. gave the “green light” for the project. There will be 1 or 2 kiosks, one will be by the sticker trail parallel to the road, the other location is TBD.
- Sals Summit – Dave will be scheduling a date, TBA. Some ideas to be discussed include:
- extending the blue trail
- some trails are very rocky – spanky & three bitches.
- berm
- getting the community involved? Chad mentioned that LL Bean is interested in conservation projects.
- Nominations – will continue to be accepted, will end at November meeting The following nominations have been made: Rich B. for President, Rudy Muto for V. President, Trevor for V. President, Susie M. for Secretary, and Greg H. for treasurer, and Bob R. for Webmaster.
- Old Business
- No new nominations
- SME trails – waiting for leaves to drop so that terrain can be viewed.
- Sals trail maintenance – dates set for October 28th & November 18th.
- Website – Doug is continuing to work on the idea of having bike shops have their own page on the site.
- New Business
- LL Bean Bike Expo – to be held at the Promenade Shops on Saturday, November 10th. There will be rides leaving from the shops, one is a Fall Foliage Bike tour which is $10.00 and proceeds benefit Wildlands Conservancy. We are considering participating, more info to follow.
- Hunting Regulations at Sals – discussion involved what type of hunting is permitted at Salisbury, 2007 regulations will be posted on the website.
- Meeting locations – discussion regarding a convenient location to have meetings. A suggestion was made to use the CAT office, Doug will call Steve to ask if this is an option. Trevor will look into whether ABW has a separate meeting room that might be available.
