VMB received the following request. I do know some people involved in Community Bike Works in Allentown and it really is an organization that is doing some good things.

Hello,

My name is Kellie Keyes and I work for a television production company in Knoxville, Tenn. that is shooting a series for Great American Country (GAC) called Great American Heroes, featuring country music artist Trace Adkins. GAC is a national country music/lifestyle network whose sister channels include HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, DIY Network and Cooking Channel. The series follows Trace on his nation-wide tour and search for local "hometown heroes," individuals who are making a difference in their communities.

One of the cities we will be featuring is Easton, PA. Two of the heroes we have selected for the series is Stefan Goslawski of Community Bike Works. Community Bike Works is a non-profit organization that provides inner-city children living in at-risk situations with meaningful work-ethic alternatives to gangs, drugs and streets. CBW uses bicycles, peer role models and adult mentors to engage youth and influences their behavior and outlook about school and life.

One of Community Bike Works biggest wishlist items is more volunteers. We want to surprise Stefan Goslawski Wednesday, June 13 from 2 pm – 5 pm, with a bunch of riders in the community to show up and pledge to volunteer for the organization. We will provide t-shirts for the visual that says "Community Bike Works Volunteer." I need your help to find these individuals who would be willing to help Community Bike Works and appear for the surprise. The more volunteers, the better the visual!

This is an amazing opportunity for Valley Mountain Bikers and the Easton bike community to participate in.
