VMB's next membership meeting will be held September 12 at Boroline Park in Emmaus. We've reserved the pavillion at the end of Alpine St., adjacent to the trailhead.
This is an important meeting—we'll be voting on updates to the IMBA Chapter Charter and hope to see as many members as possible out there. The changes are small (a slight $5 increase in annual dues, but more money goes back to the club) and VMB's officers and board are recommending that we sign the new charter. But it's important to have our members represented and vote on the issue.
Also on the agenda:
Adopting and coordinating (where possible) trail signage and maps across trail systems
Trexxxfest planning
Updates on our two Take a Kid Mountain Biking Days (at Jacobsburg and Nox)
Suggestions for trail improvements to our primary trail systems
And for the first time in years—a group ride.
Prior to the meeting, we'll host an hour-long no-drop group ride, departing at 5:30 for quick lap around the mountain. We'll return by 6:30, when the meeting will begin.
This will be an outdoor meeting, so dress appropriately depending on the weather. Kids and families are welcome.
