250th Annual Tice-Medellin Thanksgiving Morning MTB Ride

Here it is folks!! The event you've all been waiting for. The 250th (yes I said 250th) Annual Tice-Medellin Thanksgiving morning MTB ride. The longest running MTB ride in the United States!!

Come on out Thanksgiving morning to ride South Mountain and be part of history. This is the ride that has included some of our most notable founding fathers. Jefferson, Washington, Adams, Hancock, Connelly, Kincaid, Dejesus, Scarazzo - the list is long and distinguished (well the list is long).

This is an event not be be missed. You thought the first shot in the Revolutionary War was fired at Lexington & Concord - NOT SO. The first shot was fired on South Mountain after the British tried to stop the annual Thanksgiving MTB ride. As Patrick Henry said during the 1775 ride - "Give me liberty TO RIDE or give me death!"

And what would this annual ride be without our famous pre-ride activities.

* Watch Rich Chug - always a favorite trying to guess how long Rich can continuously chug beer without vomitting (editors note: By order of the governor this event will be held inside a hermetically sealed plastic tent due to some concerns from the CDC pointing to Rich as the possible patient zero in the current Ebola scare).

* Most horrific injuries - bring pictures of your most horrific bike injuries. Again no pictures of Greg showing the "red eye of Jupiter". Last years contest judge is still suffering from PTSD flashbacks.

So don't miss out on the ride event of the year. Even Tony (that's Greg's twin brother) will be there.

9:00 a.m. meeting at the South Mountain Park parking lot on top of South Mountain across from the OLD Channel 39 offices. This is a social ride suitable for all abilities.
